When we realized that COVID-19 was shaping up to be a serious global pandemic we turned our energies to figuring out how we could help. As distillers retooled their production lines to make hand sanitizer, light industrial manufacturers began making ventilators, and pharmaceutical firms began focusing on treatments and vaccines; we as mobile software developers, focused on problem areas that we believed we could affect.
While we’d always seen the idea of people waiting in lines as a ridiculous waste of time, we now also saw it as a potentially dangerous point of infection. What if we could eliminate the need for people to use their bodies like tokens on a game-board---but rather wait safely and comfortably elsewhere? Clearly, there are safer and more convenient ways to wait for our turn.
We developed SafeW8 as a simple to use, and functionally robust mobile app solution. It’s a state-of-the-art mobile queuing system that leverages the best of the mobile technology that you already have; complemented with a sophisticated back-end queuing engine.
The solution consists of two applications. SafeW8 Manager for organizations to set up their ‘queues’, and Safew8 for end users to join and wait their turn.
